BONN – Der ökumenische „Predigtpreis“ des Verlags für die Deutsche Wirtschaft AG (Bonn) geht 2007 in der Kategorie „Beste Predigt“ an Pfarrer Dr. Fernando Enns. Der mennonitische Theologe, 1964 in Curitiba/Brasilien geboren, hat derzeit eine Stiftungsdozentur am Fachbereich Evangelische Theologie der Universität Hamburg inne. Er wird für eine Predigt über Matthäus 18,15-22 ausgezeichnet, die er am „Tag der Ökumene“ 2006 in Hamburg hielt. Den Sonderpreis in der Kategorie „Beste Liedpredigt“ erhält Antje Rösener. Die 46-jährige Pfarrerin ist Theologische Studienleiterin im Ev. Erwachsenenbildungswerk Westfalen-Lippe e.V. in Dortmund. Sie setzte sich mit dem Lied „Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme“ von Philipp Nicolai (1556-1608) auseinander.

KARLSRUHE – Am 18. Mai 2007 wird um 20:00 Uhr in der Ev. Stadtkirche Karlsruhe-Durlach ein Täuferoratorium aufgeführt. Darin erinnern Texte (Auswahl: Thomas Nauerth) und Musik (Paul Mertens) an die gewaltfreien Gemeinden der Täuferbewegung des 16. Jahrhunderts. Unterwegs in der Nachfolge Jesu, versammelt oft unter freiem Himmel, verkündigten sie das angebrochene Reich Gottes. Weil sie Waffendienst, Eid und Kindertaufe ablehnten und an die Möglichkeit eines gewaltfreien und geschwisterlichen Lebens glaubten, wurden sie als “Wiedertäufer”, “Schwärmer” und “Rottengeister” bezeichnet und von kirchlicher und weltlicher Obrigkeit als Aufrührer verdächtigt. Tausende wurden vertrieben, verfolgt, gefangen, gefoltert und tausendfach hingerichtet. Auch Markgraf Philipp von Baden drohte in einem Mandat von 1527 mit der Todesstrafe.
Noch immer gelten sie nach dem Augsburger Bekenntnis als verdammt. Die Nachfahren von Verfolgern und Verfolgten finden sich heute zum gemeinsamen Gedenken zusammen. In der Ökumenischen Dekade zur Überwindung von Gewalt, 2001-2010, sind Schritte der Versöhnung und der Umkehr möglich.

ROTTENBURG – Der Michael-Sattler-Friedenspreis geht 2007 an das Projekt „Zelt der Völker – Menschen bauen Brücken” in Palästina. Mit dem Preis würdigt das Deutsche Mennonitische Friedenskomitee (DMFK) den kreativen und gewaltfreien Einsatz der christlich palästinensischen Familie Nassar gegen illegale Landnahme. Der Preis wird am 20.5.07 gegen Abend in Rottenburg/Neckar verliehen. Unterstützt wird die Preisverleihung von der örtlichen Evangelischen und Katholischen Kirche, sowie von der Stadt Rottenburg.
Im Nahostkonflikt spielen Land und Besitzansprüche darauf eine besondere Rolle. Wem gehört das Land? Das Recht der Nassars auf ihr Land auf einem Hügel südlich von Bethlehem ist durch Papiere aller Mächte, die Palästina seit hundert Jahren beherrschten, verbrieft. Sie haben osmanische, britische, jordanische und israelische Papiere. Dennoch erheben israelische Siedler Anspruch auf ihr Land.
