FREIBURG – Erzbischof Dr. Robert Zollitsch hat sich für einen entschiedenen und von gegenseitigem Respekt gekennzeichneten Dialog mit dem Islam ausgesprochen. Zugleich hält er es für unverzichtbar, „dass Muslime sich von all denjenigen distanzieren, die im Namen ihrer Religion Gewalt ausüben und morden“. Wenn die schweigende Mehrheit ihre Position deutlich zum Ausdruck bringe und Gewalt eine eindeutige Absage erteile, „können vielleicht so manche Schwankende für Toleranz und den Sinn sowie die Einhaltung von Menschenrechten gewonnen werden“, betonte er am Donnerstagabend (3. Mai 2007) bei einem Treffen mit den Professorinnen und Professoren der Freiburger Hochschulen.
Inhaltlicher Schwerpunkt der Begegnung war in diesem Jahr das Thema „Chancen und Grenzen eines Dialogs mit dem Islam“. Vor rund 250 Hochschullehrerinnen und -lehrern unterstrich Zollitsch in der Katholischen Akademie die Notwendigkeit eines „aufrichtigen“ Dialogs. Die Globalisierung im Alltag, die in den Gemeinden und Städten zum Beispiel durch das Nebeneinander von Kirchen und Moscheen hautnah erlebt werde, sei nicht nur bereichernd, sondern verunsichere und ängstige auch. Das friedliche Zusammenleben von Menschen unterschiedlicher Kulturen und Religionen ergebe sich nicht von selbst. Es brauche „erneute, große Anstrengungen, um verstärkt in einen geduldigen Dialog zu kommen“, sagte der Erzbischof. In diesem Zusammenhang sprach er sich erneut für einen muslimischen Religionsunterricht in deutscher Sprache aus.

TRIER – Mit interreligiösen Projekten hat sich der Bundeskongress der „Gemeinschaft Katholischer Männer und Frauen im Bund Neudeutschland (KMF im ND) während des „Tages der ethischen, politischen und sozialen Perspektiven” 12. April in Trier beschäftigt. Rund 850 Delegierte des katholischen Akademikerverbandes machten sich in der Trierer Europahalle mit interreligiösen Projekten wie der „gläsernen Moschee von Mannheim”, dem „Wunder von Marxloh”, dem „Trialog an Schulen” oder „Weißt du, wer ich bin?” vertraut. Nach Angaben des Verbandes sollen so Ansprüche und Wirklichkeit eines „gelingenden Zusammenlebens in der Gesellschaft” deutlich werden.
„Dialogarbeit ist keine Arbeit, die man in vier Wänden abhaken kann”, machte Bekir al Boga, Zweiter Imam der Mannheimer Yavuz-Sultan-Selim-Moschee und Dialogbeauftragter der türkisch-islamischen Union der Anstalt für Religion e.V. (DITIB), deutlich.
