ANTWERPEN – (APD) Mit den Perspektiven des christlich-islamischen Dialogs in den protestantischen Kirchen Europas beschäftigte sich die 46. Jahrestagung des Evangelischen Arbeitskreises für Konfessionskunde in Europa vom 16. bis 19. April in Antwerpen (Belgien).
Schon im Anspruch des christlich-islamischen Dialogs an sich liege nach Meinung der drei Referenten der Tagung eine Spannung. Weder seien einzelne christliche Konfessionen repräsentativ für alle Kirchen, noch biete sich auf islamischer Seite in den Ländern Europas ein autorisierter Gesprächspartner an. Selbst die formale Autorität der Al-Azar-Universität in Kairo sei im Islam letztendlich genauso wenig verbindlich für alle Beteiligten des Dialogs wie Stellungnahmen einer einzelnen Kirche für andere christliche Konfessionen. So habe sich der Grundsatz herausgebildet, mit dem jeweils direkten Nachbarn in den Dialog einzutreten – in Deutschland vorrangig mit dem sunnitischen Islam türkischer Prägung. (weiterlesen…)

MADRID – (ÖRK) Dialog ist “der beste Weg zum gegenseitigen Verständnis und zur Zusammenarbeit in den zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen wie auch im friedlichen Zusammenleben der Nationen”, hieß es in dem Schlusskommuniqué, das von den Organisatoren der Weltkonferenz für Dialog herausgegeben wurde und die breite Zustimmung der Konferenz fand, die am Freitag, dem 18. Juli in Madrid, Spanien, zu Ende ging.
“Dialog ist lebensnotwendig. Er ist einer der wichtigsten Wege zum gegenseitigen Kennenlernen, zur Zusammenarbeit, zum Meinungsaustausch und zur Wahrheitsfindung, die allesamt zum Wohlergehen der Menschheit beitragen.” Das Kommuniqué ruft nachdrücklich zum kontinuierlichen Dialog zwischen den Reglegionen, Zivilisationen und Kulturen auf, ersucht die UN-Generalversammlung, die Empfehlungen dieser Weltkonferenz zu unterstützen, und bringt positive Erwartungen an Folgeveranstaltungen zum Ausdruck.

Als die ACK, der Zentralrat der Juden, der Zentralrat der Muslime und die Türkisch-islamische Union der Anstalt für Religion (Ditib) ihre bundesweite Aktion ausriefen und gefördert vom Bundesinnenministerium 120 lokale Projekte für mehr Miteinander der Religionen initiierten, war die Idee auch in Köln auf fruchtbaren Boden gefallen.

Im vergangenen Jahr hatte ein solches Treffen vor dem G8-Gipfel von Heiligendamm auf Einladung des EKD-Ratsvorsitzenden in Köln stattgefunden.

Bei der Begrüßung der Vertreter von sechs muslimischen Organisationen und der alewitischen Religionsgemeinschaft betonte Bischof Fürst seinen Wunsch einer Kontinuität dieser Begegnung, da Dialog und Austausch zwischen Christen und Muslimen für die Zukunft der Gesellschaft und des friedlichen Miteinander entscheidend seien.
Neben dem fachlichen Austausch seien dabei persönliches Kennenlernen und Vertrauen wichtige Elemente. Äußerungen der Wertschätzung des Zweiten Vatikanischen Konzils gegenüber dem Islam, auf die sich Bischof Fürst berief, seien „dem Brief eines Freundes vergleichbar, abgesandt in der Hoffnung, dass er auch von der anderen Seite eine Antwort bekommt“. Er betonte dabei den Wunsch, dass freie Religionsausübung auch in bestimmten muslimisch geprägten Gesellschaften und Staaten gelten müsse. Seinen muslimischen Gesprächspartnern stellte er die Frage, wie durchsetzungsfähig die demokratischen Kräfte des Islam gegenüber gewaltbereiten Personengruppen seien.
