FRANKFURT – (APD) Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft Christlicher Kirchen in Deutschland (ACK) hat ab 1. Juli mit der römisch-katholischen Theologin Dr. Elisabeth Dieckmann eine neue Geschäftsführerin. Sie tritt die Nachfolge von Pfarrerin Barbara Rudolph an, die als Oberkirchenrätin in die Leitung der Evangelischen Kirche im Rheinland berufen wurde. Dieckmann stammt aus Löhne/Westfalen, studierte Katholische Theologie und Anglistik in München sowie Münster und promovierte 1995 mit einer Arbeit über den evangelischen Theologen Wolfhart Pannenberg. Neun Jahre war sie Geschäftsführerin der ACK in Bayern. 2006 übernahm sie die Geschäftsführung des Diözesanrates der Erzdiözese München und Freising.
Zur ACK Deutschland gehören 17 Mitgliedskirchen, darunter neben den beiden grossen Kirchen auch Alt-Katholiken, Orthodoxe, Altorientalen, Anglikaner, Methodisten, Baptisten und Mennoniten. Drei Kirchen haben Gaststatus, und die Religiöse Gesellschaft der Freunde (Quäker) sowie drei zwischenkirchliche Organisationen sind ständige Beobachter.
Elisabeth Dieckmann findet die Ökumenische Centrale, die Geschäftsstelle der ACK Deutschland in Frankfurt/Main, in einer schwierigen Lage vor. Die beiden grössten Beitraggeber, die Evangelische Kirche in Deutschland (EKD) und die römisch-katholische Kirche, hatten ihre finanziellen Zuwendungen aufgrund von Sparmassnahmen erheblich verringert, sodass in der Geschäftsstelle der Personalbestand drastisch abgebaut werden musste und dadurch die Handlungsfähigkeit der ACK stark eingeschränkt ist. Es hat den Anschein, dass die bilaterale Ökumene zwischen der römisch-katholischen Kirche und den evangelischen Kirchen in Deutschland auf Orts- und Kirchenleitungsebene funktioniert und daher der mühsamere “Umweg” über die ACK, um sich auch mit den kleineren Kirchen abzustimmen, in den Hintergrund tritt.
