BERLIN – (APD) Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft Christlicher Kirchen in Deutschland e.V., (ACK) hat an ihrer 224. Mitgliederversammlung am 11. und 12. März in Berlin über ihren künftigen Weg beraten. Sie blicke optimistisch in die Zukunft, sagte die kommissarische ACK-Geschäftsführerin, Pfarrerin Barbara Rudolph dem Evangelischen Pressedienst (epd) nach Abschluss der Tagung am 12. März. Die Diskussion um den Auftrag der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Christlicher Kirchen sei noch nicht abgeschlossen, fügte die evangelische Theologin hinzu. Hier gebe es allerdings Bewegung.
Der ACK-Vorsitzende und evangelische Landesbischof Friedrich Weber aus Braunschweig hatte zuvor unterstrichen: “Die ACK ist kein Nationaler Kirchenrat, sie will es auch nicht werden.” Grund seien die Konfessionsverhältnisse in Deutschland, wo Freikirchen in der Minderheit sind. Die ACK hatte nach massiven Kürzungen durch beide grossen Kirchen wiederholt geklagt, ihrem Auftrag kaum mehr gerecht werden zu können. Vor allem die Ökumenische Zentrale in Frankfurt gilt als personell unterbesetzt. Es gebe ein erstes Signal von der evangelischen Kirche, die Finanzierung des ökumenischen Dachverbandes aufzustocken, sagte Rudolph. Ein ähnliches Engagement werde von römisch-katholischer Seite erwartet. Dies sei aber noch nicht Beschlussreif.
In einem Festgottesdienst wurde am 12. März der Mülheimer Verband Freikirchlich-Evangelischer Gemeinden als 17. Vollmitglied in die ACK aufgenommen. Gleichzeitig wurde Pfarrerin Rudolph als langjährige ACK-Geschäftsführerin verabschiedet. Sie war in die Kirchenleitung der Evangelischen Kirche im Rheinland gewechselt. In der Übergangszeit bis zur Regelung der Nachfolge soll Rudolph die Geschäfte eingeschränkt weiterführen, längstens bis Ende Juni. Turnusgemäss soll das Amt des Geschäftsführers von der katholischen Deutschen Bischofskonferenz (DBK) bestellt werden.
Die Versammlung sei von den Ereignissen nach dem Amoklauf in Winnenden überschattet gewesen, so Rudolph weiter. Ökumenische Gäste hätten zudem von der bedrückenden Situation für Christen im Nahen Osten und im Irak berichtet.
Ferner sprach sie die Mitgliederversammlung dafür aus, Gesprächen über eine “Wiederaufnahme” des Bundes Freikirchlicher Pfingstgemeinden (BFP) zu führen. Der BFP war bereits von 1975 bis 1984 Gastmitglied der ACK und strebt jetzt erneut die ACK-Gastmitgliedschaft an. Wie aus dem ACK-Vorstand verlautete, sollen keine grundsätzlichen Bedenken gegen eine Wiederaufnahme bestehen, die ACK möchte jedoch mit dem BFP noch ein klärendes Gespräch führen.
Die vor rund 60 Jahren gegründete ACK, der Dachverband der christlichen Kirchen in Deutschland, vereinigt neben der evangelischen und römisch-katholischen auch orthodoxe, anglikanische, alt-katholische sowie Freikirchen.
