BASEL (APD) – Christen aus der Region Basel und dem benachbarten französischen und süddeutschen Umland feiern am Freitag, 6. Juni, auf dem Münsterplatz der “Host City Basel” für die “Euro 08″ einen bunten Open Air-Gottesdienst für Jung und Alt, mit englischer Übersetzung.
Im Rahmen des Engagements der Schweizer Kirchen für die Fussball-Europameisterschaft setzen die Arbeitsgemeinschaft Christlicher Kirchen in der Schweiz, die Evangelische Allianz Basel, die römisch-katholische und die evangelisch-reformierte Kirche des Kantons Basel-Stadt mit dem Gottesdienst am Vorabend des Eröffnungsspiels einen besonderen Akzent.
