HAMBURG – Die Arbeitsstelle „Theologie der Friedenskirchen“ am Fachbereich Evangelische Theologie veranstaltete am 21.09. in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Johann-Adam-Möhler-Institut für Ökumenik in Paderborn, dem Institut für Theologie und Frieden und der Katholischen Akademie Hamburg einen Studientag zum katholisch-mennonitischen Dialog: „Heilung der Erinnerungen“ in der katholischen Akademie Hamburg.
Namhafte Wissenschaftler, Theologen und Historiker kamen zusammen, um den internationalen Dialog zwischen Vatikan und Mennonitischer Weltkonferenz kritisch zu untersuchen. Zu den Referenten gehörten unter anderem als Vertreter des Vatikans Dr. John Radano, sowie der Generalsekretär der Mennonitischen Weltkonferenz, Dr. Larry Miller, Strasbourg. Zentrale Frage war, ob durch gemeinsame wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen zur Geschichte und Theologie international das gegenseitige Verständnis gefördert werden kann.
