AUGSBURG – (IBA) Für eine ‚Ökumene der Ehrlichkeit’ hat sich Domkapitular Prälat Dr. Bertram Meier ausgesprochen – Meier predigte bei einem Gottesdienst zum 25. Jubiläum der ökumenischen Arbeitsgemeinschaft Christlicher Kirchen in Augsburg (ACK) am Sonntag, 20.Mai 2007.
„Für mich ist jetzt die ‚Ökumene der Ehrlichkeit’ an der Reihe. Dies meint insbesondere: Den Tisch des Wortes dürfen wir gemeinsam decken, das Brot des Lebens zu teilen, ist jedoch nicht möglich. Dies gilt es auszuhalten“, erklärte Domkapitular Meier in seiner Predigt.
Als Vorsitzender der ACK- Augsburg dankte Meier den Vertretern sechs verschiedener Kirchen und kirchlicher Gemeinschaften, die vor 25 Jahren die ACK- Augsburg ins Leben gerufen haben. Er bezeichnete deren Gründer als „Pioniere der Ökumene“.
„Meine Erfahrung in der Arbeit für die ACK hat gezeigt: Einander Jesus, das Wasser des Lebens, zu reichen, ist möglich. Mein Wunsch ist, dass die christlichen Kirchen in Augsburg auch weiterhin für einander Schöpfgefäße sind und es zunehmend werden“, resümierte Meier.
