MOSKAU – „Nichts irritiert unsere Mitmenschen mehr als unser Streit.“ Das stellte der Baptistenpastor Ulrich Materne (Wittenberge), Osteuropabeauftragter der Deutschen Evangelischen Allianz, bei der Jahrestagung der Russischen Evangelischen Allianz (REA) in Moskau am 3. April fest. Er fragte: „Ist es uns bewußt, daß wir mit unserem Streit die Sendung Jesu unglaubwürdig machen?“
Mit der gleichen Überzeugung äußerte sich auch Pastor Witali Wlasenko (Moskau), Öffentlichkeitsreferent der Russischen Union der Evangeliumschristen-Baptisten. „Wir halten die Allianz für eine wichtige Initiative. Und die Einigung der Christen muß von unten her geschehen. Wenn wir von oben her dirigieren wollen, entstehen gleich Probleme.“
Eröffnet wurde die Konferenz, zu der 30 Kirchen- und Gemeindeleiter kamen, durch den Baptistenpastor der Russischen Evangelischen Allianz Alexander Feditschkin (Moskau). Dabei wurde eine ähnliche Zahl von Kirchen und Initiativen vorgestellt. In diesem Jahr bringen sich die Adventisten verstärkt ins Satellitenfernsehen. Sie legen Wert darauf, daß jede Adventistengemeinde über Satellit mit allen anderen Gemeinden im flächengrößten Land der Erde verkabelt ist. In der Hoffnung, irgendwann finanziell selbsttragend zu werden, veranstalten charismatische Gemeinden Seminare über Existenzgründungen. Lutheraner und Baptisten haben neue soziale Initiativen ins Leben gerufen. Eine vom Methodisten Sergei Kovrigin (St. Petersburg) initiierte Webseite „http://chmas.ru“ ist bemüht, Christen, die kostenlose Dienste anbieten, miteinander zu verbinden.
Die Allianz setzt in diesem Jahr verstärkt auf die Bildung regionaler Allianzen. Im Mai tagt im Raum Izhevsk unweit der Wolga eine von vielen interkonfessionellen Initiativen, die mit der Russischen Evangelischen Allianz verbunden sind. Am 2. und 3. November soll in Nowosibirsk eine regionale Allianz offiziell gegründet werden.
Die nächste Jahreskonferenz wurde auf 27. und 28. April 2008 in Moskau festgelegt.
