FRANKFURT AM MAIN – (emk) Ein musikalisch und bildhaft akzentreicher Gottesdienst war der Auftakt einer Festveranstaltung am 27. März zur Eröffnung des neuen Medienwerkes der Evangelisch-methodistischen Kirche in Frankfurt am Main. Pastor Klaus Ulrich Ruof, der Leiter des Medienwerkes, hielt die Predigt teilweise in Reimen. Eindrucksvoll ergänzt wurden die Predigtaussagen durch den Illusionskünstler Hans Häberle aus Bietigheim-Bissingen, der mit bildhaften Tricks die biblische Botschaft optisch wirkungsvoll unterstrich. So wurden zu Aussagen über mühevolle und belastende Lebensphasen verknotete Tücher in die Hände von assistierenden Gottesdienstteilnehmern gelegt. Zur Aussage Jesu „Kommt her zu mir alle, die ihr mühselig und beladen seid – ich will euch erquicken, ich will euch frei machen“ wurden die Tücher einzeln hochgehoben. Für alle überraschend, waren sie unverknotet.
Bischöfin Rosemarie Wenner, unterstrich die Notwendigkeit einer modernen und aktuellen Medienarbeit für die Kirche. Eine von Medien geprägte Lebenswelt braucht auch für die biblische Botschaft eine zeitgemäße und den Menschen nahe kommende Darstellung in der Öffentlichkeit. Die räumlich enge Verbindung zur Kirchenkanzlei in Frankfurt am Main soll der Kirche eine flexiblere und deutlicher wahrnehmbare Stimme in der kirchlichen und säkularen Öffentlichkeit ermöglichen.
In einem Interview beschrieb Ruof, wie sehr die Kirche darauf Sorge verwenden soll, den Glauben an Gott mit einladenden Mitteln und in einer bildhaften Sprache zu vermitteln. Dafür will das in Frankfurt neu angesiedelte Medienwerk den Gemeinden der Evangelisch-methodistischen Kirche unterstützend zur Seite stehen. Es wird Seminare und Schulungsangebote geben für die verschiedenen Formen der Arbeit mit Medien vom Schaukasten bis zum Internetauftritt. Des Weiteren werden Arbeitsmittel und theologische Literatur für die Gemeinden zur Verfügung gestellt. Aktuelle Projekte sind die Weiterentwicklung der Kirchenzeitung „unterwegs” und die Produktion der schon lange sehnsüchtig erwarteten CD-Rom zum evangelisch-methodistischen Gesangbuch. In Zusammenarbeit mit den ökumenischen Partnern und der säkularen Presse fungiert Ruof auch als Pressesprecher der Kirche.
